Review: The Wedding Dress By: Rachel Hauck

This book was a fun read it really kept me guessing. It takes place in modern day Alabama which just happens to be my home state and it bounces back and forth from present day to the early 1900's. It all centers around this exquisite wedding dress and these four women and how they are all connected. It is a very intriguing read. I think you will really like it.
Here is an excerpt from the book:
Charlotte owns a chic Birmingham bridal boutique. Dressing brides for their big day is her gift-and her passion. But with her wedding day approaching, why can't she find the perfect dress-or feel certain she should marry Tim?
Then Charlotte purchases a vintage dress in a battered trunk at an estate sale. It looks brand-new, shimmering with pearls and satin, hand stitched and timeless in its design. But where did it come from? Who wore it? Who welded the lock shut and tucked the dog tags in that little sachet? Who left it in a basement for a ten year old girl? And what about the mysterious man in the purple vest who insists the dress has been "redeemed"?
Charlotte's search for the gown's history-and its new bride- begins as a distraction from her sputtering love life. But it takes on a life of its own as she comes to know the women who have worn the dress.

Review: Super Blake and the Cavity Monster By Tracy Bickhaus

Super Blake and the Cavity Monster was a simply delightful children's book to read. Super Blake is a little boy, with a vivid imagination, that decides that Ginger Vitis  and Sir Plaque are two enemies he will have to fight each day. Not to mention the Cavity Monster. He understands that it won't be easy but in order for him to stay away from these evil villains he would have to brush and floss twice a day.
I read this book to my little boys and they really liked it. And laughed at almost every page.
