CWA Review: See the Light Bible Stories

The Gift of Love
See the Light Art projects DVD curriculum is something I am somewhat familiar with as my children have used it before. Well this time around we were able to take advantage of the Bible Stories series when asked to review the one entitled The Gift of Love Christmas Story&Art Lessons. My children by far enjoyed this art lesson probably more than they have ever enjoyed any before. They really enjoyed the art lessons offered.

The lessons offered were:
REJOICE! See The Light artist Heidi Shorts teaches the art of Creative Lettering.

Away in a Manger See The Light Master Art Teacher Pat Knepley leads budding young artists in a step-by-step drawing lesson using colored pencils. Create your own black light reveal!

Portrait of MarySee The Light chalk artist Gloria Kohlmann gives a tutorial on chalk-art techniques (a sketch to download is available at http://www.seethelightshine.com/fun-stuff

There are several little bonus features added to the DVD, there is a 10 minute Bible story at the beginning that explained the Christmas story. There is also  some music at the end that was really touching. I don't want to give it away so I will just say it was presented a little differently. But all in all very enjoyable.

My 10 year old and 7 year old got to take advantage of this one. My 10 year old had no problems with doing the art lesson but my 7 year old felt he had a little trouble keeping up. But that is okay because you are able to stop and start as you go. This curriculum really doesn't require much if anything of me. And that is probably what I like most about it.

This is the supply list for the Creative Lettering Lesson but all of these are listed on the website if you need to take a look:
