My Review:
Riley Morgan and his grandfather were walking through town, when his grandfather gives him a fancy watch. Someone suddenly comes up behind him and takes the watch right out of his hands. So he starts running after this pick-pocket and ends up losing him.
Annie Sheffield was forced by her father to become an expert pick-pocket at an early age.  So when her father tells her to steal a fancy watch, it's not really a surprise. But little does she know that, that was the day her father would leave her and her life would change forever.
Years later, Riley finally home from the war of the states. He can't wait to see his family and the girl he's been dieing to marry. He even runs in to his Uncle Jud, who gives him a Morgan horse, for his travel back home. He stops by his girls house to find that she has moved out of state with her husband. He basically runs out the door, no girl at least he has a family. But when he get's home he has a dreadful surprise.
Annie Sheffield lives at the Wilcox school for Blind Children, now. But as it seems not for long. The school administrator thinks it a good idea for her to leave and get married. Problem is everyone thinks she's blind, no guy wants a blind women. And she would hate to leave the children, that she has grown to love. But when Riley Morgan comes to her rescue, it seems her world is turned upside down. Will Riley be able to except Annie and all her lies? Will he be able to help save the school? Or will it all fall down in shambles?
