Review: The Treasure of Snake Island by:Carole P. Roman

The Treasure of Snake Island: A Captain No Beard Story Volume 5
About the Book:
After a fierce battle with a storm, the crew goes in search of treasure. Alexander, that is, Captain No Beard uses a map to locate it on the ominous sounding Snake Island. Bravely they dig until they find the best treasure ever!

About the Author:
Carole P. Roman has been entertaining both children and parents with her successful Captain No Beard series. Each book contains a valuable lesson, that adds to hours of discussion afterward. She is also the author of the cultural series "If You Were Me and Lived in...", which has been embraced by both parents and teachers, as well as her target audience- children ages 3-8. Roman lives on Long Island with her husband and near her children and grandchildren who continue to be a helpful test audience.

My Review:
Join Captain No Beard and his crew on another fascinating adventure on the high seas fighting fear and loss to win against anyone that is out to harm them. In The Treasure of Snake Island, the crew learns about books and facing their fears one by one. Soon there was a storm brewing and Polly the Parrot told them all about how she learns about tons of different things. She learns them by reading books.

Soon the crew is off to search for treasure on Snake Island and what they find when they arrive is a sheer delight to them. My boys love reading Carole Roman's, the Captain No Beard series! There is a lot of fun and excitement in each addition to the series.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
