Litfuse Review: Saturate Field Guide by:Vanderstelt/Connelly

Saturate Field Guide: Principles & Practices For Being Disciples of Jesus in the Everyday Stuff of Life
About the Book:
Whether you’re just beginning a relationship with Jesus or you’ve been a follower of Jesus for a long while, many of us have a hard time translating the truths we believe in our mind, to the reality of our everyday life. Given our tendency to wander away from God, we need both encouragement and tools to keep the gospel at the center of our action in the everyday stuff of our lives.

This 8-week guide offers an all-of-life approach to being disciples who make disciples of Jesus. The questions, activities, prayers, and exercises will prompt you to do exactly that—put your thoughts and theology into hands-on practice. Designed for both group and individual use, each week will build on the next, aligning your heart with the will of God, examining your core identity beliefs, and launching you into mission.

When God’s people commit together to sow gospel seeds in the everyday rhythms of life, a ripple effect moves through our lives, out toward the whole earth, saturating it with the good news of Jesus.

My Review:
Some of us require a daily planner so coordinate our days. It is just how we are wired. So the author of Saturate, a great book on discipleship, put together a field guide perfect for those of us that need a little push or those of us that would like to get back on track. The field guide is a 8 week journey to living better for Christ. In order to 'saturate" yourself in Jesus, you need to dig into Him each and every day to a point of overindulgence but this time overindulgence is a good thing. It helps us to grow and to stretch God farther than we ever imagined just by simply doing it in ourselves first.

So for 8 weeks you have a segment to read along with thought provoking questions that get you to thinking more about becoming a disciple and to help with your spiritual growth. With a notion to better equip you to move outside of your comfort zone and to help equip others. So you can use this indiviually or in a group setting. I love some of the great questions that the authors ask, it really gets you grounded into discipleship and serving others.

A great field guide that takes you beyond your normal every day boundaries and gets you to extend past the norm. Great for individuals or use in a group setting!

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
