My Review:
A girl needs a good strong devotional to get through the days ahead, especially when those days are laced with a lot of uncertainty and stress. In Shellie Rushing Tomlinson's book Devotions for the Hungry Heart she conveys the things we need the most from the bread of life. Food for the spirit never looked so good, y'all!
She takes us along on her spiritual journey in the hopes that we will learn from it and see Christ in it. A hungry heart, it turns out is a heart full of many things that one might not expect, at first. The author teaches us those things and in a mighty way. I really enjoyed her book for many reasons but the fact that she is southern to the core, may have swayed me a little further. This book is a great way to grow closer to Jesus.
A typical devotion with a backbone of the Bible with life lessons sprinkled throughout and a rendering of Christ Jesus that will make you slap your mama. A fantastic way to get you some Jesus!
