Review: Dog Days of Summer by:Kathleen Y'Barbo

Dog Days of Summer: Book 2 - Gone to the Dogs

About the Book:

Mishaps Abound as Second Chance Ranch Struggles to Get Its Start

Grab a lap dog to cuddle and relax into a fun small-town mystery as a new dog rescue project turns into a three-ring circus of calamities in book 2 of the Gone to the Dogs series.

Trina Potter, Nashville country music star, buys a ranch near her hometown in Brenham, Texas, to help her niece open a rescue facility for dogs. Her presence in town stirs up some old high school rivalries—and romance. Finding property to buy is a challenge, convincing her mother to move there with her is daunting, and navigating a string of strange accidents is perplexing. Sometimes Trina feels like she’s purchased her own three ring circus instead of a beautiful piece of land. But her first priority will be figuring out who wants Second Chance Ranch shut down before they even have the grand opening.

My Review:

Gone to the Dog's Mysteries is a nice change than my typical book reviews. It follows Marigold--known as Mari by those that know her as she runs a dog rescue operation in Texas. Mari was our main character in book 1 but in book 2 of the series we are introduced to her aunt Trina Potter. Trina is back in her hometown and its drawing a lot of attention, sometimes it seems like the wrong type of attention. Especially when her ranch is at risk of being shut down.

Even those this series is as sweet as pie, there are some tried and true grumpy factors to it. Everything is all rainbows as we follow the lives of these very interesting and down to earth characters.

Loved this second addition to the series!

**Disclosure**This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
