About the Book:
An Unresolved Mystery Holds an Amish Community in Limbo
In
book two of A Mifflin County Mystery series, Rosa Petersheim’s
disappearance continues to cause suspicion and pain to swirl in the Big
Valley.
Ada’s best friend, Rosa, disappeared a year ago and still
has not been found. In their grief and confusion, Ada and Rosa’s
boyfriend, Ephraim, have grown very close. But some in the community
feel Ephraim is responsible for Rosa’s disappearance. Now Rosa’s younger
sister is making accusations against Ephraim that can’t be true, and he
pulls away from Ada, feeling betrayed. A fire set by an arsonist might
finally be the thing to reveal secrets that have long been dividing this
community of friend
My Review:
Its so sad that Rosa disappears and as the town has had to go on without her without any real definite answers just makes this story even more sad. Ephraim seems to be the scape got for Rosa's disappearance at least by the town's standards. Ada and Ephraim become closer and I'm not sure many people around town approve of that. Things shift and people start to see who is really at fault.
This story is so sad and it really touches you to see how the town reacts to such a huge loss. And what Ada and Ephraim do in an attempt to pick up the pieces.
A great addition to the Mifflin County Mystery series. I like the characters and really want to see what come next for this town and its people.
