Review: Blackberry Beach by:Irene Hannon

Blackberry Beach (Hope Harbor, #7)

**Disclosure**This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

About the Book:

Katherine Parker is on the cusp of having everything she ever wanted--fame, money, and acclaim. So why isn't she happy? In search of answers, she comes incognito to Hope Harbor on the Oregon coast for some R&R. Maybe in her secluded rental house overlooking the serene Pacific she'll be able to calm the storm inside.

Coffee shop owner Zach Garrett has found his niche after a traumatic loss--and he has no plans to change the life he's created. Nor does he want to get involved with his reticent new neighbor, whose past is shrouded in mystery. He's had enough drama to last a lifetime. But when Katherine and Zach are recruited to help rehab a home for foster children, sparks fly. And as their lives begin to intersect, might they find more common ground than they expected . . . and discover that, with love, all things are possible?

Bestselling and award-winning author Irene Hannon invites you to come home to Hope Harbor--where hearts heal . . . and love blooms.

My Review:

I had never been to the beach until recently. And I have to say I loved every single second of it. It is definitely a great place to relax and get away from it all. Katherine thinks the same way she needed a place for some rest and relaxation and Blackberry Beach was the best place. She does not intend to find a friend or anything more, just a place to rest her mind and body.

Zach runs the local coffee shop and he stays to himself, a real homebody. He doesnt want to or care to know anything about his neighbors and Katherine Parker can be added to that list. But thats all about to change when they are ask to help in their community.

Romance is about to bite them both, more than they realize.

A great beach read, for sure!

 About the Book:

Candace’s Playful Puppy is for every boy or girl who has ever wanted a dog and every parent who knows the responsibility that goes along with caring for a new pet. Candace’s Playful Puppy is a picture book for ages 4 to 8 that teaches kids:

How to be faithful to your commitments
To never give up when you face a tough situation
That patience is a skill that takes a lot of practice and hard work
When Candace’s new pup, Freckles, doesn’t pay attention to her instructions, Candace’s patience is tested and her excitement over the new pet quickly fades. Freckles escapes … but ends up making a muddy return. Candace realizes that being a great dog mommy isn’t as easy as she thought.

My Review:

On my fifth birthday, I received a puppy as a gift. Thats all I wanted. Soon Missy was all mine. She was a sweet little thing. Absolutely precious! All little children need a pet no matter what it turns out to be. Candace takes us along as she learns all about Freckles and what he has to offer.

She learns that giving up isn't an option and that after hard work and determination both you and your pet will get the hang of it. Something scary happens to both Candace and Freckles but in the end their love for each other triumphs.

An absolutely gorgeous book with a precious storyline.

Review: The Berenstain Bears: Learn About Heaven by:Mike Berenstain

The Berenstain Bears Learn About Heaven (Berenstain Bears/Living Lights: A Faith Story)

**Disclosure**This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

About the Book:

Encourage children to ask big questions in this new, inspiring story from the Berenstain Bears Living Lights collection.

Something has been on Sister Bear’s mind lately … heaven. Sister asks all the usual folks she knows just might have the answers—from Lizzy Bruin to Grizzly Gran to Cousin Fred. She wonders where heaven is, what it is like, and how you get there. Does she get the answers she is looking for? Or will Preacher Brown explain it all on Sunday?

My Review:

The Berenstain Bears are at it again. This time sister is all about finding out more about Heaven. She soon learns that children are not to be hindering in coming to Him. Jesus always loved the children and would fight fiercely to protect them. They are soon introduced to Revelation by Gran and it start to open up to them even more so. Preacher even has quite a bit to say.

The Berenstain Bears are a really good teaching tool and they teach character values that still stand today. A great book!

Review: Near: Psalm 139 by:Sally Lloyd-Jones/Jago

 Near: Psalm 139

**Disclosure**This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the publisher.

About the Book:

From Sally Lloyd-Jones, the author of the bestselling The Jesus Storybook Bible, comes an uplifting new board book in a soft padded format that is a perfect fit for little hands. Inspired by Psalm 139—which begins, “O Lord, you have searched me and you know meNears lyrical text reminds little ones that God is with them anywhere they go in God’s wide world.

God is my Father who made everything.

And I am a little explorer of the wide world.

He is near me

And he protects me.

He sees me

And he knows me.

He is strong

And he looks after me.He is with me—always!

My Review:

Finally, we are seeing board book for tinies that are based on specific scriptures from the Bible. For those of you that like Psalm 139 and use it in your daily life, now your baby can too. God is always with us, especially when we think He isnt. A great book to teach little ones about our mighty God. He will never leave our side and that is a very important concept for children to learn. It is a critical teaching element that is perfectly lived out in their faith. So they need to know it immediately. It strengthens their faith and will reap big benefits to them as they grow into adulthood.

This board book is perfect for little hands. Is easy to understand and the illustrations are beautiful.

The sweetest little treat is this special little board book, perfect for young ages. Momma raccoon and her sweet little babies set to work on special Valentine Day treats. She shows them how to make Valentines for their friends and family. Then they set to work making special treats just for their friends. It was the sweetest watching this raccoon family interact.

The illustrations were bright and colorful and the dramatic prose was full of great rhythm and rhyme. A great book to celebrate Valentines with your own little ones.
