Review:Signs, Wonders, and a Baptist Preacher by:Chad Norris

About the Book:
Baptist Preacher Takes the "Weird" Out of the Supernatural

Demonstrating humor, candor, and personal vulnerability, this Southern Baptist preacher offers an entertaining, non-religious look at the Holy Spirit. He shares transparently, recounting his own history of depression and panic attacks until Jesus rescued him and showed him how to do the works of the Father. As Norris explains, "I had no paradigm for that." Then he challenges readers to engage with the supernatural.
Even though Jesus said we will do even greater things than he did, we don't. Norris' engaging narrative style lowers readers' defenses and opens their minds to the idea that these "greater things" are more attainable than they think. Because we are loved more than we imagine, says Norris, we are more capable of doing the Father's works than we have ever considered.

My Review:
Chad Norris you are on to something, my friend. My husband and I have always had discussions like the ones in your book talking about healings and why the things in Jesus' day are very much not the norm these days. This book is a must read for those of us contemplating the reasons behind this and why churches do not address these issues head on. I think you gave us your point of view on the handlings of it and misgivings about it. But you are dead on. Too many people are afraid of the power of our Father and the awesome work of His healing hands.

No one should doubt God's love for them likewise His healing power and that through God we could all possess this. Chad has had some wonderful encounters of the God kind. He has seen many marvelous things. A woman being cured of blindness and man being healed from a shoulder injury all the while believing in a total transformation he sees in himself. And this is just to name a few of the things he has been privy to. And a desire to dig even dipper in the extraordinary gifts that the Lord ordains. This book is an exciting read and very well worth the deeper study on the subject.
