Litfuse Review:Barefoot Summer by:Denise Hunter
About the Book:
Madison’s heart closed the day her twin brother died.
Since losing her twin, Michael, in a drowning incident, Madison has rejected the faith he lived by. Instead, she’s devoted her life to fulfilling Michael’s dream—winning the River Sail Regatta in their small Indiana town, Chapel Springs.
As she trains for the regatta, Beckett O’Reilly is teaching Madison to sail. But he’s keeping a painful secret from her—and as they grow closer, that secret threatens to upend their lives . . . and the lives of both their families.

My Review:
A romance novel like no other that will leave you hanging on to the very end. Madison lost her twin brother Michael to drowning. She has struggled with his death but as a last tribute to her brother she has decided to enter a sailing contest called the River Sail Regatta. There is only one problem she can't sail. So she needs to learn and learn fast. So enter... Beckett O'Reilly... he will teach Madison what she needs for the contest but he is falling and falling fast. Only trouble with that is, is that he harbors a secret and he is not sure what this will do to the budding friendship/relationship.
Denise Hunter has a knack for romance novels and in her novels there is nothing off limits. This book is a tried and true romance novel with a surprising twist of unexpectation.
