Review: Trouble In Store by:Carol Cox
About the Book:
Fired from her most recent governess position, Melanie Ross must embrace her last resort: the Arizona mercantile she inherited from her cousin. But Caleb Nelson is positive he inherited the mercantile, and he's not about to let some obstinate woman with newfangled ideas mess up all he's worked for. He's determined to get Melanie married off as soon as possible, and luckily there are plenty of single men in town quite interested in taking her off his hands.
The problem is, Caleb soon realizes he doesn't want her to marry up with any of them. He's drawn to Melanie more every day, and he has to admit some of her ideas for the store unexpectedly offer positive results.
But someone doesn't want the store to succeed, and what used to be just threatening words has escalated into deliberate destruction and lurkers in the night. When a body shows up on the mercantile steps--and the man obviously didn't die from natural causes--things really get dangerous. Can Melanie and Caleb's business--and romance--survive the trouble that's about to come their way?

My Review:
Melanie had a great job working for the Deaver's as a governess until one day Mrs. Deaver decided to have a party. This included Melanie being in charge of 7 kids while the adults talked and had a wonderful time. Everything was going well, Melanie had successful watched them until it was time for everyone to leave. But Mrs. Deaver's son decided to go get a horse from the stables and take it for a joy ride. Melanie decided to run after the horse which really didn't help any. The ending of his little ride was outrageous the boy with a sprained shoulder and her fired. So she decides to get out of Ohio and head back to her home town in Arizona.
Caleb is a single parent of a cute little boy named Levi. Running a store isn't all its cracked up to be. But when Melanie comes there everything goes hog wild. Guys are proposing to her, his sons sets fire to something and all she want's is to speak with his deceased Uncle. As everything is running wild, Melanie wait's on him for his time and his help.
Needing a place to stay and a place to work Melanie is in need of Caleb's help, but will she find more in him then she had planned on? Is he going to be able to help her or was all of this a waste of time?
