Review: Restoration of the Heart by:Paul Bradley,SR

restoration of the heart
About the Book:
If you've ever suffered from a broken heart, ask yourself one question: Are you simply living with and accepting your pain, or are you ready to restore your heart, fully and completely? When the author of Restoration of the Heart faced the greatest wilderness experience of his life, his heart was totally broken. Destroyed. But what he learned through the process of healing was profound, and this is what he shares in his powerful new book. In order to achieve true happiness, it is imperative that you live in total restoration and fulfill the plan for your life, rather than merely living with a controlled or broken heart.

Restoration of the Heart offers some practical scriptural truths to help you discover the meaning of restoration. In Section One, discover the 12 characteristics of control. How did control-the biblical Jezebel-get started in Israel, and how do we destroy this stronghold? Section Two examines the broken heart. What is the right and wrong way to deal with brokenness and hurt in your life? In Section Three you'll find the answers for total restoration. Restoration of the Heart is filled with life-changing principles derived from the greatest book ever written-the Bible. By applying these principles to your life, and by spending time in quiet meditation with the Lord, you, too, can experience a total Restoration of the Heart and live victoriously, free from the pain of the past.

About the Author:

My Review:
The condition of the heart seems to be the baseline for any problem usually in the church or in ones personal life. Yes, there are problems emotionally, physically or maybe even financially but these can usually be traced back to one's own heart and the condition therein. The author of Restoration of the Heart, Paul Bradley offers us his commentary on the subject as well as the way to recognize it and a way to fix this sometimes debilitating factor that can cause us to have even further setbacks in life.

The Jezebel spirit is one that is recognized in many people as well as believers, even in our leaders in ministry. The closer you are to the Lord, seems to drive this spirit straight to you. You become an even bigger target to aide satan in bringing down the church. First, you have to recognize that the Jezebel spirit's main objective is to take down the body of Christ one person at a time. These spirits will shut down everything until they get their way, especially in the church as a whole. We must not let them seep in and take over.

The Holy Spirit has to be prevalent in the hearts of our ministerial leaders, whether it be the Pastor or the other leaders in the church. The devil has gotten away with having his way for far too long. The author has also given us 4 steps to freedom and restoration: pray, repent, accept, and live. Along with the authors personal journey he then gives you the help or H.E.A.R.T. restoration you will need to fulfill the calling God has placed on your life.

Because to fully move on you have to fully restore the heart from whatever has it bound, so then and only then you can move forward with what God has in mind for you and your life. This book though a somewhat quick read gave me a better outlook and much clearer picture on that status of the church today and importance of being on guard at all times because our hearts are a prized possession that is to be kept in line with our Father.
