Review: A Dad's Prayers for His Daughter: Praying for Every Part of Her Life by:Rob Teigen/Joanna Teigen
About the Book:
From the moment a man becomes the dad of a daughter, he knows he's going to be doing a lot of praying. He wants to pray for his girl, but he may wonder, Where do I start? What should I be praying for?
The couple who brought you 88 Great Daddy-Daughter Dates now shows dads how to pray for their daughters. They assure dads that just because they don't always understand their little girls, that doesn't mean that God doesn't.
Collecting specific prayers that dads can use, along with stories from other dads about how God has answered their prayers for their girls, Rob and Joanna Teigen give men a strong foundation to build a lifelong habit of prayer for their daughters. They also explain a little more about girls and what they go through growing up, including stress, purity issues, social pressure, modesty challenges, spiritual growth, and more, so a dad can pray for every area of his daughter's life.

My Review:
Watching my husbands interactions with our 16 year old daughter, a lot of times you will see me duck down just to avoid being invited into the conversation. He has found himself lately really struggling with her growing up. To him it seems it happened overnight, when in actuality it didn't. He just feels lately that he has been blindsided with an adult or almost adult daughter. I politely hold my tongue while he hands down a punishment or correction because I'm trying to let him have his say in the matter.
And then in private we discuss how we are mostly done with our job of raising her and we have moved to the role of gentle guidance. Where we are still enforcing rules but still loosing the reigns a bit. I also tell my dear sweetheart that our only power is prayer and that we need to be doing that continuously over our precious daughter.
The authors have once again put together a wonderful resource that will hopefully allow the Dad's of our families with daughters some peace by formulating prayers over every situation and circumstance in their lives. The book is complete with scriptures, prayers and even some time honored advice from other fathers. It is the best resource on prayer that I have seen in a long time.
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from Revell.
