My Review:
We need to learn how to be more self sufficient. These days, things are getting harder and harder financially and it is always good to live simply and try to do things that would help that grocery bill to deflate some.My husband and I are trying to raise our children to learn more about this type of lifestyle, because many of these tools and tips are slowly dieing with the people that created them. Grandparents and Great Grandparents are taking these much needed skills to the grave with them, because those of us coming after them seem uninterested and that is very sad.
Modern Pioneering, is a book that will help you with a few of these things that are much needed today. The author can show you how to grow a garden, preserve your harvest, how to forage or even how to go camping. But that is only a small dose of her tips--she has included recipes and craft projects. This book is a simple book meant for great things! You can expand your knowledge on items that your ancestors knew all about and now you will too!
