My Review:
I just learned as this being my first in the Vernita series, that this was even part of a series although it was very informative, I really didn't feel that the illustrations added to it as much as it should. There was alot of educational information added to the book as well as to the main character Queen Vernita. This book takes her on another exciting adventure, this one to "Gator Country" also known as the Bayou. Queen Vernita gets 12 fun filled months to visit gator country and all it has to offer, and it has many things to offer this frequent traveler.

She learns about Mardi Gras, The Underground Railroad, alligators, the French Quarter and so much more. After all, Gator Country is a fun place to be! Soon enough her journey has ended and its time for to head back to the castle but this adventure is one that will last a lifetime because it was filled with so many places that the Queen will never forget.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
