Review: The Fragrance of Crushed Violets by:Cathy Bryant

The Fragrance of Crushed Violets: Forgiving the Inexcusable
About the Book:
What do we do when a loved one, boss, co-worker, friend, or enemy seem determined to bring us down through an attack? How do we handle it when their assault is personal, public, deep, unjust, unfair, and unfounded? Take it one step further. How do we deal with meaningless acts of destruction and death, say in something similar to the Twin Towers incident or a school shooting, especially when the offender shows no remorse? Do we rack it up to "one more senseless act" and chance to think that God somehow messed up? In short, how do we move past the hurt and anger to a place of forgiveness? Join in as we examine relevant scriptures about forgiveness and come away with a more scripturally-accurate understanding of: what forgiveness is and what it isn't God's role in the process of forgiveness what Jesus did at the cross for each of us our mandate to forgive as we've been forgiven what gets in the way of forgiving others how to truly forgive"

My Review:
So many times we think we know whats best. So much so that we make our decisions about people and situations based totally on how we feel never once consulting our Heavenly Father. Cathy Bryant is showing us in her book, The Fragrance of Crushed Violets how we as an individual can come out of horrific circumstances that boggles the mind or something that would happen in our daily lives to be the victor. We come out victorious when we work through the pain, anger, and anguish with God at the forefront. We need to immerse ourselves in His Heavenly scent so that we can move on from such life changing matters into His will and ultimate plan for our lives.

This Bible Study is a way for you to work through these thoughts and feelings with God but with Cathy as your guide. It is so very hard for us to battle the world around us because we are Christians living in a world full of sin and evil--so much so that it devours us like little, innocent lambs. Because of that when we are faced with the option to forgive the unforgivable it seems unheard of to even consider. Being that this world is in direct opposition to what God says is right we are more accustom to NOT forgive. But some how some way we have to forgive to get to a better place with God and within ourselves.

Complete with a Bible study lesson, study/ponder questions this study is a small step towards the independence from being bound by unforgiveness. The author has included the steps we must take to get to a good point in our forgiving of others.

If you would like a copy of the great Bible study, you can purchase one here.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
