My Review:
When a homeschool mom runs across free curriculum, she doesn't have to be asked twice---she will snatch it up in a heartbeat. Who doesn't want to save money while still educating their children? But my children especially love it when their school work can be in someway connected to other forms of media such as a movie. If you have never heard of the website Homeschool Movie Club you should really check them out, they have a lot of different resources to help the homeschool family. Whether its their free curriculum or their movie reviews you are should to find items to help you on your homeschool journey.

Dolphin Tale 2 is a movie that is based on the continuing story of a dolphin by the name of Winter that was rescued, rehabbed and was fitted with a prosthetic tail so that she would survive. It really is a touching story perfect for a family movie night. There has been a very simple to understand curriculum created to go along with the movie that I think all homeschooling families will enjoy and I had the chance to look over it for you and here's what I found out. There are 5 video clips averaging about 5 minutes each along with 5 lessons on all things dolphin. The author does encourage children to keep a binder and this is geared towards elementary or middle school aged children.

The basic overview of each lesson is a video clip and a curriculum supplement. Each lesson gives you many new and exciting items to learn about and enjoy from the dolphin world. With this ebook you are open to many things that you can possibly do with this form of teaching. you can simply print up the lessons and have your child complete each activity or you can feel free to make this into a lapbook. The sky is the limit! This would not be used as a stand alone curriculum only as a supplement to what you are already learning on the subject of marine life or oceanography.

This supplement along with the video clips are completely free and available to you after register on this website. And if you didn't already know September 12, 2014 is the official release date of Dolphin Tale 2 and it is officially Homeschool Day.
