Review: Trouble In Ippy-Tippy Town by:Katie Berdan

 Trouble in Ippy-Tippy Town
About the Book:
"More free stuff! More free stuff!" What happens in Ippy Tippy Town when the Gimmie Getters make everything free? Where will the money come from? Where will the food come from? What will the Wanna Workers do to save their town?

About the Author:
Katie Berdan is a writer and musician who lives in Wisconsin with her family. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and enjoys reading, music and painting.

My Review:
A delightful children's book centered around the life of turtles that do as we do. So it shows children the life that they would have living the grown up world. A life where we work to pay for the things we need such as food, clothing, our homes, etc..The story is a touching, but compelling one in that it tells the story of Ippy Tippy Town, a town that is full of Wanna Workers that are just trying to survive in a town full of other turtles that aren't so ready to go out and work.

While this book has a good sense of right and wrong I'm not real sure that I would want my child learning at such a young age, the way the author portrayed the government works. It was written in a way, that is a little difficult for a real young child to understand. I would recommend it for children around the age of 11 or 12, because they would fully grasp it---I believe.
