About the Book:
The cherished Bear family is coming to a new generation of toddler and preschool readers. Stan and Jan Berenstain introduced the first Berenstain Bear books in 1962 and the Bear family celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2012! About the Author:
Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents work together to write about and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too. Though Stan died in 2005 and Jan in 2012, Mike carries on his parents' love of creating Berenstain Bear stories from an area in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, which looks a lot like Bear Country.
My Review:
For years we have been entertained by the very character driven Berenstain Bears. Thankfully, the son of Stan and Jan Berenstain has continued the tradition his parents began all those years ago. We may have his parents to thank for introducing us to this fantastic bear family but we have Mike Berenstain to thank for introducing them to a new generation. If you are a regular reader of my blog, you know very well, my family's love of this bear family. We grab every movie or book pertaining to the Berenstain Bears. My husband enjoy them because they remind us of our childhood, but we also love them because we know what kind of character traits that they introduce to our children. Good strong morals and manners are always good for a child to have and this is what the Berenstain Bears offer our children.
In The Berenstain Bears:Please&Thank You Book, Brother, Sister, and Honey learn real quick how far good manners will get them. This sweet little board book, teaches us that it is a good thing to use manners when asking for something that we want. And they also learn how happy that it will please them as well as their parents. This book is perfect for little hands, it is a board book with approximately 20 pages, written for the 2-5 age group. This book has short, easy to read sentences. Great for a read aloud book and is short & sweet for those eager, little angel babies that can't still.
