Review: In Firefly Valley by:Amanda Cabot

In Firefly Valley (Texas Crossroads, #2)
About the Book:
Marisa St. George is devastated when she is a victim of downsizing and has no choice but to return to the small Texas town where she grew up. Though it's a giant step backward, she accepts a position as business manager at the struggling Rainbow's End resort. The only silver lining is Blake Kendall, a new guest who is making her believe in love at first sight. But will her dreams of happily-ever-after be turned upside down when she discovers who he really is?

My Review:
Marisa St. George didn't have a normal childhood, due to her drunkard father. With him constantly out and about with a bottle in his hand, she never believed she would be anywhere but Texas. All is soon changed and she is in school becoming an accountant. When that happened she believed she would be living large, fancy clothes and everything. But that's not going to happen due to a downsizing at the well-known accounting firm at which she works. Marisa finds herself heading back to her home town, in the glorious Texas. A job is what she needs and her best friend knows where she can get one. The beautiful Rainbows End resort.

Blake Kendall desperately needs a book idea, but his San Francisco home isn't providing him with the idea his needs. One phone call, and he's booked at a resort and he learns that one of his best friends is getting married, only days after meeting the girl of his dreams. Arriving a day early at Rainbows End resort, he meets a pretty girl named Marisa, who he hopes felt the same thing he did when the shook hands. As days go by, he finds himself thinking a bit less about his book and a whole lot more about Marisa. Little does he know that Marisa is having the same problem.

As they begin to work together to help the struggling-to-survive Rainbow's End, Marisa discover's that Blake is harboring a secret. One that just may mess over their growing relationship.

In Firefly Valley is book two in the Texas Crossroads series. I love Amanda Cabot's books! She is one of my favorite writers, and I always love seeing what she writes next. I can not wait until On Lone Star Trail comes out in Spring 2016!

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from Revell.
