Doctor Who: Big Bang Generation by:Gary Russell

Big Bang Generation
About the Book:
An original adventure tying in to the ninth season of Doctor Who, the spectacular hit series from BBC Television, featuring the new 12th Doctor as played by Peter Capaldi.

“I'm an archaeologist, but probably not the one you were expecting.”

Christmas 2015, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Imagine everyone's surprise when a time portal opens up in Sydney Cove. Imagine their shock as a massive pyramid now sits beside the Harbour Bridge, inconveniently blocking Port Jackson and glowing with energy. Imagine their fear as Cyrrus "the mobster" Globb, Professor Horace Jaanson and an alien assassin called Kik arrive to claim the glowing pyramid. Finally imagine everyone's dismay when they are followed by a bunch of con artists out to spring their greatest grift yet.

This gang consists of Legs (the sexy comedian), Dog Boy (providing protection and firepower), Shortie (handling logistics), Da Trowel (in charge of excavation and history) and their leader, Doc (busy making sure the universe isn't destroyed in an explosion that makes the Big Bang look like a damp squib).

And when someone accidentally reawakens The Ancients of the Universe - which, Doc reckons, wasn't the wisest or best-judged of actions – things get a whole lot more complicated…

My Review:
Everyone knows the Doctor is a busy man (alien of sorts). He is always trying to save the world, but for the moment he's reading a book by candle light in the Tardis. Why you may ask? Because he can. While he’s off in his own imagination, among the dull mountainous terrain of the Aztec Moon, Kik the assassin and Globb are searching for something. Well not just something, they are looking for none other than the infamous Glamour. Little do they know that this little act will awaken the Lord’s of Time. And oh will that be a mess itself.

Keri broke her leg on another planet in another time and now she sits at the White Rabbit with one of the Doctor’s many cell phones. From another century in the past, he calls asking for any help she can give on the Glamour. And oh, how excited she is to help.

The Doctor along with one of his old companions Bernice, her son Peter and a lovely couple by the names Ruth and Jack, must work together to stop Kik and Globb from causing one of the biggest issues ever.

The Big Bang Generation is another wonderful novel in the Doctor Who series. I really enjoyed this book! It had ever aspect of the Doctor Who series, which I adore! I can not wait to read another! It sure to be just as amazing!
