Review: Shades of Doon by:Corp/Langdon

Shades of Doon (Doon, #3)
About the Book:
After cheating death, Veronica Welling is determined to savor every moment in her idyllic kingdom with both her true love and best friend by her side at last. At the same time, Mackenna Reid is enthusiastically building her new life and a theater with her prince. But just as their dreams of happiness are within reach, the world Vee and Kenna have chosen is ripped away, leaving them to face their most horrific challenge yet—their old lives.

Thrust out of Doon, the best friends are confronted with tormentors from their past and no way to return to their adopted land. When the MacCrae brothers rush to their rescue, the girls' situation turns from nightmare to modern-day fairy tale. But their happiness could be short lived: unbeknownst to them, someone in their closest circle is aiding the witch of Doon in her bid to destroy the kingdom once and for all.

My Review:
Veronica Welling is the queen of Doon, and she has a lot of weight on her shoulders. She must keep everyone happy and safe. And that was her mind-set until the day she almost died, now she wants nothing more than to have fun while she can with the love of her life and her best friend. All seems to be going well, that is until she and her bestie begin seeing weird things. Brushing the odd visions aside, she believed it to be nothing but waking up back in the modern world, she knows something is amiss.

Mackenna Reid could believe her eyes when they arrived back in the modern day Scotland. But after battling to get back and fast, she was distraught when they arrived back at their homes in America. Poorer than poor in America, Mackenna and Veronica don’t believe they will ever get back to Doon and their handsome hunks. But when the MacCrae brothers arrive to take them home, it seems all is well.

Back in Doon, evil is at work. The evil witch that wants nothing more than to harm them is hiding among the people and no one but Mackenna, Veronica, and the MacCrae boys can stop her.

Shades of Doon is book three in the Doon series. This book was a wonderful addition to the series. I love how the authors write in such a way you feel like you are right there with them. I hate to see this series end but at the same time I am excitedly awaiting the fourth and final book that will arrive fall of 2016.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
