Review: With This Ring by:Witemeyer/Connealy/Jennings/Jagears

With This Ring?: A Novella Collection of Proposals Gone Awry
About the Book:
Humorous Historical Romance Novella
Collection Offers Love and Laughs

Four top historical romance novelists team up in this new collection to offer stories of love and romance with a twist of humor. In Karen Witemeyer's "The Husband Maneuver," Marietta Hawkins decides to grab the reins when the ranch foreman she loves seems to be leaving forever. Regina Jennings offers "Her Dearly Unintended," where friends stranded by a rising river pretend to be newlyweds when a dangerous stranger arrives.

Mary Connealy's "Runaway Bride" finds a Texas ranger getting more than he expected when he rescues a young woman fleeing a dangerous arranged marriage. And Melissa Jagears' "Engaging the Competition" finds a young woman forced to assist the man she's often sparred with after an accident leaves him helpless. Each tale is a fun blend of history and romance that will delight readers.

The Husband Maneuver
Marietta Hawkins has waited three years for Daniel Barrett to tell her how he feels about her. And now he's decided to move on with his life, without even saying a thing? She won't stand for and she has a plan to make him fall for her even if she has to risk her reputation to do so.

Her Dearly Unintended
Katie Ellen Watson promised her parents she would take care of the farm while they were away. Josiah Huckabee decided to take it upon himself to check and make sure she was safe, but never did he expect the bridge between their two family's farm to wash away. They must wait together until they can rebuild the bridge, but when a stranger appears at Katie Ellen's place, seeming to be up to no good, Josiah knows there is only one thing the must do. Lie to the stranger and tell him they are married. How could this ever go wrong, especially with true feelings involved?

Runaway  Bride
Carrie Halsey doesn't want to marry a man she doesn't know and definitely doesn't trust just to fulfill her father's gambling bill. So one night, Carrie and her brother, Isaac decided to escape in the night, but soon they run into a very tall and muscular man. Big John Conroy was sent by their sister to rescue them from their awful fate, soon Carrie's awful fiance is hot on their trail. So John, Carrie and Isaac race to Broken Wheel, Texas, in hopes of getting help from John's regulator friends. Even while her whole world seems to be crashing down around her, she can't help but have a few feelings for him. Especially after the many nights they were together. But what if he doesn't feel the same? What if he gets killed by her raging fiance defending her?

Engaging The Competition
Harrison Gray has always had feeling for Charlotte Andrews, but after she embarrassed him when they were young, he expected her not to feel the same. One day while at church, Harrison discovers that Charlotte is planning on marrying out of convenience and that he just wont hear of. So he rides out to her place, but things go wrong and Harrison's glasses are broken by Charlotte, leaving him almost completely blind. Charlotte begins helping him at school until he gets new glasses, but she soon discovers that probably isn't the best idea since old feelings are being stirred up and she is suppose to be marrying another.

I really enjoyed this novella. And when I discovered that Mary Connealy's Runaway Bride was linked to some of her other books, I was beyond ecstatic. I love each of these authors greatly and I can't wait to read more of their books.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
