Review: A Treasure Concealed by:Tracie Peterson
About the Book:
Bestselling Author Tracie Peterson Launches Exciting New Series Set in 1890s Montana
Emily Carver wants a home where she can put down roots instead of following her gold-hungry father from one mining camp to another. She also longs for tenderness and love, both of which are missing in her life. Yet when she realizes she's losing her heart to the intriguing new man in camp, she fiercely fights her feelings, afraid that love will only result in disappointment and heartache.
Caeden Thibault, a young geologist, comes to Montana to catalog minerals indigenous to the state. He's a serious and guarded young man trying to escape the pain of his past. He has avoided all romantic entanglements, fearing he might become like his abusive father. But something about Emily Carver has caught his attention, something he never expected. . . .
Will these two broken souls allow God to bring healing and hope to their hurting hearts?
My Review:
Emily Carver has never lived in a true home, instead her family has traveled from gold mining camp to gold mining camp, following her father's dreams of striking it rich. Her dream has always been to have a home of her own and a husband madly in love with her. But with her mother gravely ill and her father busy mining, she doesn't really have time for a beau.
Caeden Thibault works as a geologist for the government. His research takes him to Montana, where he meets a man by the name of Henry Carver. The man brings him to dinner, where he meets Henry's very pretty daughter, Emily and her ill mother. He finds that the Carvers are unlike any other and only wish him the best. While on their land, Caeden discovers something amazing, something that could make Henry very happy.
When someone threatens to take the Carvers down, Caeden and Emily must work together and keep the claim. But when someone has revenge on their mind, there never is going to be an easy way out.
A Treasure Concealed is book one in the Sapphire BRides series. I really, REALLY loved this book. I have read many of Tracie Peterson and have found everyone one of them to be amazing reads. I really enjoyed the many twists and turns in this book. This series is sure to be epic!
