Review: Like Never Before by:Melissa Tagg

Like Never Before (Walker Family, #2)
About the Book:
Maple Valley became Amelia Bentley's haven after her heart and her dreams of a family were shattered. But her new life as a newspaper editor is shaken when the small-town paper is in danger of closing. Her one hope: A lead on an intriguing story that just might impress the new publisher...if only she new who he was.

After his biggest campaign success yet, widowed speechwriter Logan Walker now has the chance of a lifetime--a spot on a presidential campaign. But his plans are interrupted when he finds out he's inherited his hometown newspaper. He travels home intent on selling the paper and spending some much-needed time with his young daughter before making the leap into national politics.

But instead of a quick sale and peaceful break from his hectic career, Logan finds himself helping Amelia chase her story. She's scrappy, but wounded. He's dependable, but lost. They may butt heads more than expected, but a series of leads on Maple Valley's quirky unsolved mystery is just the start of the sparks that fly in the office and in their hearts.

My Review:
Amelia Bentley loves the small town life of Maple Valley. After her heart was shattered, Maple Valley became the perfect little place to start out fresh. Working at the local newspaper is like a dream, she loves every aspect of it. But when the owner of the newspaper dies and all hope of the newspaper lays in one man’s hands, Amelia knows it is her time to step up and show everyone she knows what she is doing.

Speechwriter Logan Walker has had a hard time getting over his wife’s death and with a daughter who never speaks, he feels as if he has failed. When the chance of a life time job shows up, Logan knows it is what he must do. But when he inherits his hometowns’ news paper, the job is going to have to wait. Arriving back home with his daughter in toe, he realizes some things never change in Maple Valley. From gender guessing to a rubber duck race, the town is as alive and kooky as ever.

When Amelia learns that Logan is planning on selling the paper, she give him a crazy idea of hers hoping he will learn to love it like she does. Soon he begins to help her follow her crazy story, but what if he changes his mind?

Like Never Before is book two in the Walker Family series. I love, love, LOVE Melissa Tagg’s books! I really enjoyed reading this book and it is a perfect addition to this series. I hope I can read more of this author’s books real soon.
