Review: What a Bragger! by:Lee Ann Mancini
About the Book:
Multiple Award-Winning book series helps to build a strong, foundational relationship with Jesus, while teaching love, and compassion for others! Melissa likes to brag that she can swim the fastest, climb the highest, and has the best of everything. Corey finds her crying in the sand box with her broken shovel, the only toy she had. They all chip in treasure coins for her birthday present. Melissa prays, giving thanks to God for her friends, and learns they are more important than all the toys in the sea. Lee Ann Mancini and Dan Sharp have created an underwater world that explodes with color, drawing the children into the captivating story. National Indie Excellence Awards Finalist, Readers Favorite Award."
My Review:
Melissa learns the hard way in, What a Bragger! That it's not fun bragging about the things that seem like they are better than what others may have. It makes you seem like such a nice person and no one wants to be your friend because no one likes a bragger. Corey finds it very strange that Melissa would go to the links that she would and his hunches are right on and he comes up with a great idea to cheer Melissa up after he finds out the truth.
A great children's book written about a character trait that's not so appealing to anyone. Not only does this sweet little children's book have the most beautiful and colorful illustrations but it also has a hidden object in each one for the reader to do some active listening. Written for children ages 4-8. Really looking forward to reading Fast Freddy! Awesome book!
