My Review:
Out of all the books so far, I love this time period the most. Colonial America was a great time of learning for our country and Carole Roman takes us back to a time of hard work in America. The story of how America began actually began in England when many of the people there wanted and needed a change regarding religion. So they moved to a foreign land to a fresh start in more ways than one. Along the trip and after first arriving here they had many new challenges to face and times were difficult.

We had to grow our own food and our food was cooked over a fire in a fire pit. When we first landed in America we had to do many things very quickly because winter was fast approaching. Houses and shelters was built and food had to be planted. It was a time of great enrichment and growth. It was going to take a lot of time before it became the America that we all know and love today.

**Disclosure**This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
