You can never lose purchasing a Bible for someone. These days it is fairly easy to find one that will meet your needs and your pocketbook. There are several things to consider while shopping for one. I consider the binding for one thing. Is it leather, is it hardcover, softcover, etc. The possibilities are endless. Then there is translation--King James version, New International version, and many others. You really have a lot to consider age, audience, type--amplified or study Bibles come to mind here.
When I was a little girl I don't remember there being so many choices. I myself am a new found fan of The Message translation.
