Review: 'Twas the Evening of Christmas by:Glenys Nellist

 'Twas the Evening of Christmas
About the Book:
’Twas the evening of Christmas, when all through the town,

Every inn was so crowded, no room could be found.

Tired Mary and Joseph, who went door to door,

At last found a place on a small stable floor.

For over 200 years, families have gathered on Christmas Eve to hear the much loved words of Dr. Clement C. Moore’s ’Twas the Night Before Christmas. This year, families can gather together to share the real Christmas story––the story of Jesus’ birth. ’Twas the Evening of Christmas echoes the familiar language and rhythm of Dr. Clements’ poetry, but instead of focusing on Santa, it focuses on the baby Jesus, who is, after all, the true hero of Christmas. All families will delight in this simple retelling of the most famous story ever told. With a cover that comes alive with foil and sculpted embossing, this book is sure to become a Christmas classic.

My Review:
Written in the same rhythm as the famous 'Twas the Night Before Christmas this is a beautiful retelling of that classic but done God's way. With rich illustrations that can take you back in time to a time and place that holds our hearts in His mighty hands. Christmas is not about the world or its possessions. It's all about Jesus and the gift he brought down from Heaven to deliver to all of us.

Christmas gives me the warm fuzzies. To me, its not only about Jesus but about family and friends and the love we all share. Jesus gave up his life to show us that we could give up our lives for Him. To save us from death and give us eternal life. God gaves us His best when He gave us His Son.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author. All opinions are my own.
