Review: My Heart Belongs in Niagara Falls, New York by:Amanda Barratt

My Heart Belongs in Niagara Falls, New York: Adele's Journey
About the Book:
Journey now to Niagara Falls, New York, of 1870 where...
She avoids danger at all costs. He makes his living by rushing headlong into it.

Outwardly, Adele Linley’s trip to visit her American cousins is nothing more than a summer vacation. In reality, she’s the daughter of an English aristocrat with barely a penny to her name seeking a rich American husband.

Having grown up in an overcrowded orphanage, Drew Dawson is determined to make a name for himself. He’ll take any honest job to provide for his sister—even crossing Niagara Falls by tightrope.

On a sightseeing trip to the Falls, Adele meets several eligible suitors. Incredibly wealthy and pompous, Franklin Conway takes an immediate fancy to her. But Adele would truly like to marry for love.  When she encounters the mysterious Drew in the garden, Adele is confused by her feelings for someone who is everything she is NOT looking for. Will they both stay the course they have chosen for themselves?

My Review:
God has always and will always be paramount in our lives, whether we know it or not. He is the ultimate in knowing what roads we will travel in life. Adele and Drew find this out on their journey and journey they never expected to go the way it has gone. Adele unfortunately has a lot to learn. A lot to learn about life, love, and God.

It will be up to Drew to lead by example. He is a faith fearing man that knows his steps are ordered by the Lord. He is fierce in that faith and he will begin to teach this mysterious woman a thing or two about it all.

God is simple yet not, sometimes and these two will have to learn that the hard way even though one is just beginning in that mindset and one is already keen to it. A lesson among lessons that the two of them learn but they learn it together and that my friends seems to make all the difference.

A great romance novel set it of all places the big apple. It was a great story set in my favorite time period. Love this addition to the My Heart Belongs series. Hopefully, a southern state will be next. Love this series!

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author. All opinions are my own.
