Review&Giveaway: The Sparkle Box by:Jill Hardie
About the Book:
During the Christmas season, Sam and his parents participate in various acts of kindness to others and record their good deeds on slips of paper to be placed in a sparkly box, as a gift to Jesus.
About the Author:
Jill Hardie is a writer and marketing professional with a great deal of enthusiasm for the Sparkle Box concept. Jill's family started their tradition of giving a gift to Jesus about six years ago; now, the Sparkle Box is the gift they most anticipate opening each year. Jill, her husband, and their two children live in North Canton, Ohio.
Inspired by painters such as Norman Rockwell and Maxfield Parrish, Christine Kornacki was classically trained as a realistic oil painter. She spends her days painting in her studio, which adjoins a charming cafe. She lives in New Haven, Connecticut.
My Review:
Trying to figure out what The Sparkle Box contained as it sit on the mantle above the fireplace puzzled Sam, but he tried to remain as patient as he could. But even as a child's mind wanders, Sam was no different but luckily his mom kept him very busy in the weeks leading up to Christmas. She and Sam donated food, clothing, and blankets to people in need. At the annual Christmas party he and his family donated money to help build a well in a faraway land.
All these good deeds soon taught Sam that many people around us suffer without food and a nice, warm home to live in. Soon it wasn't long until Sam, all by himself had the opportunity to share with someone less fortunate. He gave a man that he had seen before on a park bench something to help him in his time of need. So every time he and is family did something to help someone in need these items were wrote down on tiny bits of paper and placed in a gift box under the Christmas tree as a gift to the Savior.
Small acts of random kindness that seem simple and small are actually a blessing to the Father. If you would like to purchase a copy of this precious book to share with your family you can at this link. I also have to giveaway to one lucky reader. Enter below!
