Litfuse Review: Smitten Book Club by: Coble/Billerbeck/Hunter/Hunt
About the Book:
""Consider that your beau is like a coveted novel whose compelling first lines you've just begun to read." --A Gentlewoman's Guide to Love and Courtship"
At a rummage sale, Heather, a member of the Fireside Book Club, discovers a turn-of-the-century romantic advice book written by a once-famous Smitten, Vermont, resident. When she shares the precious volume with her friends in the club, they find clues about a hidden treasure rumored to be buried in their tiny town.
As Heather, Abby, Lia, and Molly take turns reading the book, each projects onto it her own literary tastes. Heather sees it as a mystery. Abby discovers delicious dashes of Jane Austen. Lia sees in it the idealism of a bygone day. And Molly just wishes they'd made the book into a movie!
One by one, each of the women finds romantic love--often in spite of the historic book's advice. And in searching for the legendary gold, the friends discover the best kind of treasure. The kind that brings hope and healing to each of their hearts.

My Review:
The Smitten Book Club ladies decide that they are going to have a book sale in honor of one of their fellow members, Molly. Molly's husband was recently lost in a house fire. He was a volunteer fireman and was trying to save someones family pet from the fire and in turn when trying to get himself out the ceiling collapsed killing him. So to help Molly out the town of Smitten decides to help one of their own by providing things Molly and her son need to get back up on their feet again.
So the people of Smitten come out of the woodwork to provide money, food, and all types of assistance for Molly and her family. Well while sorting through some books for the sale Heather comes across an old courtship book that was actually written by the deceased grandmother. Since Heather has been having trouble in that department for awhile she decides to put this book to the test and try out some of the old fashioned methods that Pearl Chambers writes about.
This book is the final result of the collaboration of four fine romance authors. I love this series, its a series full of friendship and love. It also shows us what really good friendship can do when people are open to it.
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from Litfuse Publicity.
