Review: NIV Adventure Bible Book of Devotions by:Robin Schmitt

NIV Adventure Bible Book of Devotions: 365 Days of Adventure
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from Zondervan.

About the Book:
In a format that reflects the tone and structure of the newly revised "NIV Adventure Bible," this devotional uses intriguing fictional adventure stories and other fascinating features to teach children about God, themselves, and what it means to live a life of faith.

About the Author:

He has written several books for children and adults, including The Adventure Bible Handbook, The NIV Adventure Bible Book of Devotions, Married for Life, 101 Amazing Things About Heaven, and The 100 Most Important Bible Verses for Men. My Review:
The Adventure Bible is a great Bible used to engage children in the Bible stories that we all know and love. It has a way of drawing them in and holding their attention, possibly because of the slang type language it uses as well as the fact that it is written in a comic book style format. Well the writer of the Adventure Bible has created many other go along type books to help enhance that learning that the Adventure Bible provides. So it is no surprise to me that the author of the Adventure Bible has created a devotional to go along with it.

Written in simple, straight forward devotional style formatting. Your child can read a devotion a day, because there are 365 included---enough for an entire year.  Each days devotion contains a brief summary on the point of the lesson, words of encouragement, a simple Bible based fact and the verse to go along with it. Simple and right to the point is something that my children love about the book. And as a mom I love that they are getting their Bible reading in.
