Review: Goodnight, Ark by:Laura Sassi
About the Book:
Beds are ready.
Food is stored.
Noah hollers,
'All aboard!'
It's bedtime on Noah's ark, but the animals can't sleep because of the storm. Two by two, they crowd into Noah's bed, creating a sticky situation. Will Noah ever get them back to their own beds? Climb aboard the ark for this rollicking, yet ultimately restful bedtime story as Noah finds a way to make things calm and cozy, even in the midst of a storm.
About the Author:
Laura Sassi has a passion for telling humorous stories in rhyme. She writes daily from her century-old home in New Jersey where she lives with her husband, two children, and a black Cockapoo named Sophie. Her poems, stories, articles, and crafts have appeared in Highlights for Children, Cricket, Ladybug, Spider and Focus on the Family's Clubhouse and Clubhouse Jr. GOODNIGHT, ARK is her first picture book.
My Review:
I think sometimes we focus on the story of Noah's ark without really understanding what Noah possibly had to go through and endure with all those animals on a big boat, but a very enclosed space with many, many stinky smelly animals. How he and his family were able to carry this out, was nothing short of miraculous. I'm sure they had times where they would of loved to throw their hands up, but thankfully they didn't. Instead they carried out the task that God asked them to do.
Goodnight Ark, is a delightful children's book centered around bedtime at the residence of those that lived there. And as you can imagine with all those different types of animals there, the place was far from boring. A beautiful prose set in rhythm to the chaos that abounds right before bedtime as all the animals aboard the ark settle down for the night. This story is sure to aide your child to dreamland as well!
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from Book Look.
