About the Book:
Children ages 4 to 8 will be delighted by these rhyming Bible stories pairing spiritual truths with playful illustrations. Featuring lyrical stories full of lighthearted moments, this colorful collection of Magnificent Tales is perfect for reading out loud. As families read these stories night after night, they will make memories together while learning about the Bible.
About the Author:
Kelly Pulley has illustrated dozens of books in The Beginner's Bible series and has authored and illustrated several other children's books, including Ten Unusual Features of Lulu McDunn and The Cycling Wangdoos. He enjoys spending time with his four grown children and his beautiful wife, Vickie, in the Nashville area.
My Review:
The first thing that I noticed about this book was how well the rhythmical rhyming was completed. This was an awesome feat done by the author. I thought to myself, she's good! Complete with some of the Bible stories that we all grew up reading, this book is 351 pages of very intense rhyming that I'm sure took the author a long time to complete. This book isn't your standard beginning reader it is geared towards 4-8 yr olds but I'm positive my four year old wouldn't be able to completely understand it.
My 9 year old on the other hand was able to read it with no problem and actually enjoyed it. And he thought that some of the authors wording was hilarious. I like a book that my children can enjoy and it is an added bonus if it is Bible related. The illustrations are very colorful and drawn very similar to the other books included in the Magnificent Tales series. If you are interested in purchasing this book, you can do so at this link. Perfect for rainy day reading or for a bedtime story, these will take you some time to read through, but so worth it!
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from Litfuse Publicity.
