Review: A Robertson Family Christmas by:Miss Kay Roberston w/Travis Thrasher
About the Book:
A nationwide contest gives a needy child the opportunity to spend Christmas with the Robertsons. A junior high kid from a poor family wins, and all things look wonderful--except for the fact that the boy is a complete terror. But he'll have to learn the hard way after the Robertsons get through with him.A heartwarming and hilarious story on the meaning of Christmas and what it's like to spend it with the Robertsons of Duck Commander.
My Review:
What would it be like to spend Christmas with one of the most popular families in the nation? Well Hunter Clarke's mother is about to sign Hunter up for a very rare treat when she enters him in a contest. A chance for her son to spend Christmas with the Robertson's. Little does he know what he will be in for this holiday season. Hunter is your typical teenage boy, basically nothing excites him and he just has an all over poor attitude. But not only will he get a peek into this great Christian family, this work of fiction gives us a glimpse into the Robertson family traditions that we all wouldn't mind partaking of.
Poor Hunter gets to experience something he is definitely not getting at home---a traditional family Christmas. I say this because he always feels left out among his own family, but as we all know life with the Robertson's is anything but dull. Korie made it her mission to include Hunter and make him feel like part of the family and by the end of the book, it seems she will get her wish. God can change anybody, is the message that the family tries to get this young man to understand. Hopefully, a Christmas visit with this wonderful family will be a turning point for this young man.
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the Tyndale Blog Network.
