Review: The Berenstain Bears:God Made You Special by:Mike Berenstain
About the Book:
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Matthew 5:8
In this newest 8x8 softcover title in the Berenstain Bears Living Lights collection, the Bruins join the Bear family for a cookout and bring their cousin Tommy along. It isn't long before the cubs start up a game of baseball and Sister soon notices that Tommy doesn't play like the rest of the group. When Sister asks about Tommy, Mama takes the opportunity to talk to Sister about how God makes each of us unique in our own way. And that we all have special gifts and talents to share with the folks around us."
About the Author:
Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents, Stan and Jan, working together to write and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too.
My Review:
Sweet cousin Tommy, is a little different than the other cubs and it isn't long before the other cubs start to notice. Sister questions her Mama and her Mama soon explains that we are all made special by God and that includes Tommy. Tommy chooses to enjoy the world around him which causes him to miss catching the ball during a game with the cubs. But soon his enthusiasm rubs off and all the cubs join in.
Sometimes God brings special people along in our lives to teach us a better way and Tommy shown his friends that day to enjoy life and have fun. We can all learn a little something from Tommy. Our family loves The Berenstain Bears series! I love it because it teaches my children good character traits!
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from my participation on the Z Blog Squad.
