Review: 31 Days of Mountaintop Miracles by:Susie Y. Jennings
About the Book:
Miracles by definition are extraordinary events manifesting a supernatural work of God an unusual event or accomplishment, a wonder, a marvel. A never-ending supply of miracles have made up Susie Jennings life since November 1993, when she and a group of volunteers distributed 100 new blankets to the homeless living under the Canton Street bridge overpass in downtown Dallas. In 31 Days of Mountaintop Miracles, Susie shares the legacy of a blanket distribution project that through God s grace and guidance has grown from an unthinkable tragedy into Operation Care International (OCI), a worldwide outreach ministry, dedicated to caring for the homeless in Dallas, Texas and impoverished children around the world.
My Review:
There is no greater lesson than the one that you bought and paid for through the tough avalanche of learning it first hand because you were the one that failed to see its significance in the beginning. And in my opinion, I believe that is what obedience is especially if you are struggling with trying to be the obedient child that God so desperately wants you to be. Some of us obey quickly because we feel the weight of what God is asking us to do and we see the importance of it and still others fight against it, which ultimately costs us more because in the end we will submit.
In 31 Days of Mountaintop Miracles, the author shares with us the life of favor you will live if you just become obedient to not only the calling God has placed on your life but also the different things that may cross your path while accepting that call. The author has seen it first hand so you hear your praise and her fear in the words she has written and through it all she asks the reader to one day to accept the call and show God you will follow through.
Each chapter ends with questions you may ask yourself and ponder on in the hopes to gain a better understanding of all this encompasses. By creating these "miracle mindsets" she calls you to a higher thinking in which to see the path laid out before you when you try to extend God's kingdom to reach everyone not just the easy ones that are around us each day. Winning all to the kingdom is the purpose for us all! Through her kindness and generosity she is able to spread His love through any means necessary.
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from Book fun.
