Review: The Treasure at Devil's Hole by:Jody M. Mabry
About the Book:
How would you feel if you knew you had a legendary treasure right in your own back yard? Francis “Bug” Mosser knows, and will do nearly anything to find it, even if it means defying the most villainous person he knows—Mom!
Standing in Bug's way is his nemesis Tad Pricket, the red headed, pock-holed bully who’s suddenly been seen walking Bug’s girl, Melanie, home from school—worse, the walk ends with a kiss. Then there is the mysterious bald stranger and Miss Julia Brandon’s boyfriend who seems a little “too-classy” for the town of Possum Trot.
With the help of his brothers, and best friend Billy—along with his not-so-secret desire to impress Melanie Grainger—Bug goes off in search of fortune and glory, thwarting bad guys, stolen clothes, and explosions to find the one surprise about the treasure that he would have never dreamed of...
My Review:
The male species is naturally, in my opinion more curious than the female species. So if you have a secret in your back yard or something that is hidden the males in your household will NOT rest until they get to the bottom of it. And so it is in The Treasure at Devil's Hole, Bog just has to find out about this treasure that has withstood generations, I mean after all who could resist the temptation to find out about this and possibly have it?
Bug has to get past his mom to do all of this and maybe just maybe he will get the chance to impress a special someone at the same time. Come along on this adventure with Bug as he goes exploring and find out what he really gets himself into. The author did a fantastic job of capturing youth and filling the pages with fun and adventure!
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from Pump Up Your Book.
