Review: The Big Pig Stampede by:Bob Hartman

The Big Pig Stampede (Goat Boy Chronicles)
About the Book:
Goat Boy, a.k.a. Gideon, is the kid everyone loves to pick on. He’s like any typical Bible-time boy who spends his life traveling around Palestine milking goats, giving Roman soldiers a hard time, and getting into trouble on more than one occasion. Goat Boy is curious, enjoys a good adventure, and has a couple of mildly irritating friends. What’s not so typical is how he and his friends are in the right place at the right time to witness the amazing miracles and teachings of Jesus.

My Review:
Gideon also know as Goat Boy due to the meanness of his brother, has experienced a lot for someone his age. Imagine one day, you are just sitting there taking care of your pet goat, when all of a sudden your friend, Bug, runs up telling you about a wedding party that has ran out of wine. So you grab two skins of wine from your fathers stall and run to the party, only to find that a guy named Jesus has turned water to wine, causing both you and your father a sale. What kind of guy does that?

The Big Pig Stampede is an adorable book about a boy named Goat Boy, who has a lot of experience with this Jesus character. He meets a lot of funny characters along the way, all while helping his father and taking care of his goat. The Goat Boy Chronicles is sure to be an amazing series, that both children and adults of all ages will enjoy.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from Tyndale.
