Review: Aftershock by:Bonnie S. Calhoun
About the Book:
Selah may have escaped the Mountain, but the real danger has only begun
It's been two days since Selah Rishon Chavez escaped the Mountain with her father and dozens of other Landers who had been held captive there. Now it's time to move on to safety. But no one can agree on a safe route or even the final destination.
Selah's real problem, however, lies deep within. Ever since her first interaction with a Lander, she has been changing, and the changes go far beyond the mark just below her collarbone. As a novarium, she is destined to be the key to solving a 150-year-old mystery--making her Public Enemy Number One not just to the Company but to other Landers.
My Review:
Two Days after escaping the Mountain, Selah learns that they must move on to safety. But with her father, Glade and Bodhi fighting over the safer routes, she know something must happen and fast. Soon Glade introduces a guide/bodyguard for the trip someone of whom he trusts great, but Bodhi on the other hand believes the guide has ulterior motives.
Selah finds herself under scrutiny by fellow Landers, who seem to want nothing more than her head. With so much to face, how will they ever find some where safe?
Aftershock is a Stone Braide Chronicles Story. This ebook was an epic read with equally epic action. I love how even though it was only forty-one pages long, it still had action and adventure all through it. I definitely can't wait to see what happens next in this series.
**Disclosure** This was a purchased book. All opinions are my own.
