Review: The Legend of the Christmas Cookie by:Dandi Daley Mackall

The Legend of the Christmas Cookie: Sharing the True Meaning of Christmas
About the Book:
The Legend of the Christmas Cookie tells the story of a young boy named Jack who learns from his generous mother the story behind the Christmas cookie. The family who began the tradition of baking the special cookies gave them to the needy and shared the story of the very first Christmas. This sweet holiday book offers inspiration for readers to become cheerful givers themselves and encourages them to share the true tale of Jesus’ birth. A delicious recipe is included on the jacket flap so readers can make their own Christmas sugar cookies.

My Review:
Christmas is such a special time in every home. Christmas to me is the epitome of family and should be shared so that everyone can experience the love that Jesus wanted us to share with all. The Legend of the Christmas Cookie is one of a series of books written by the same author that centers around a family that does something really special each Christmas with their Christmas cookies.

Jack is really upset that his Dad can't be with him and his mother this year because times have been hard and his father left to go look for work. Jack walks in one day to find his mother baking Christmas cookies for the needy. He doesn't understand why on earth she is doing this since they are pretty needy themselves and thats when she tells him The Legend of the Christmas Cookie.

A very sweet story centers around God's love for everything. This book would make an excellent gift and is perfect for a day making holiday treats.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
