This newly illustrated edition of The Legend of the Easter Robin renews the wonder and charm of the original and timeless tale written by Dandi Daley Mackall. With new vibrant artwork from New York Times bestselling illustrator, Richard Cowdrey, this holiday classic is brought to life for a new generation. The Legend of the Easter Robin tells the story of Tressa, whose grandmother reveals to her the story of a small robin who saw Jesus struggling and soared to help him. This Easter tale reminds Christians everywhere how much Jesus sacrificed for us and how much he loves us.
Poor Tressa, she was so worried as she watched a Mama robin get her nest ready for her soon to be born babies. Tressa was worried because it wasn't quite spring. Tressa's Gran explained to Tressa that we all have to trust God our Creator that He will take care of the little baby birds now still unhatched and right after they come out of the shell.
While Trassa and Gran waited for the blessed event Gran showed Tressa a neat family tradition called, Oschter Foggel or Easter Birds. As they colored their eggs in preparation for Easter, Gran told Tressa the legend behind the robin's red breast. It's a beautiful story that includes our Saviour.
So as Gran and Tressa were busy with their Easter festivities the Mama bird was busy herself, hatching her babies. On Easter morning Tressa was glad to see the babies safe and sound. A beautiful story with very pretty illustrations. This book could instantly become an Easter classic!
