Litfuse Review: A Beauty Refined byTracie Peterson

A Beauty Refined (Sapphire Brides, #2)
About the Book:
Phoebe Von Bergen is excited to accompany her father when he travels from Germany to purchase sapphires in Montana. Little does she know that her father's plans--for the gemstones and his daughter--are not what they seem.
Ian Harper, a lapidary working in Helena, finds the young woman staying at the Broadwater Hotel more than a little intriguing. Yet the more he gets to know her, the more he realizes that her family story is based on a lie--a lie she has no knowledge of. And Ian believes he knows the only path that will lead her to freedom.

Meeting Ian has changed everything. Phoebe is determined to stay in America, regardless of her father's plans. But she may not be prepared for the unexpected danger as the deception begins to unravel.

My Review:
Phoebe Von Bergen, the daughter of a German count, begged her father to let her travel with him to America. There was so many new sights and sounds and amazing looking people. Her father has business in Helena, Montana; dealing with some expensive sapphires. Little does she know that he is completely up to no good.

Ian Harper, a lapidary, prides himself in all he does. He hates lying and wants everyone to be completely honest with him no matter how bad it hurts. With a past like his that is one thing he lives by. He meets a Miss Phoebe Von Bergen one day, while swimming. To his surprise, she resembles someone he knows quite well.

As Ian gets to know Phoebe, he can't help but want to be around her as much as possible. As everything Phoebe has known to be true, is turned upside down, she will need help from everyone she can get.

A Beauty Refined is book two in the Sapphire Brides. I loved reading this book and found it to be an amazing read. I love this author's work and I can't wait to see what she writes next.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
