Review: No Way Up by:Mary Connealy
About the Book:
When Cimarron ranch patriarch Chance Boden is caught in an avalanche, the quick actions of hired hand Heath Kincaid save him. Badly injured, Chance demands that his will be read and its conditions be enforced immediately.
Without anyone else to serve as a witness, Heath is pressed into reading the will. If Justin, Sadie, and Cole Boden don't live and work at home for the entire year, the ranch will go to their low-down cousin Mike.
Then Heath discovers the avalanche was a murder attempt, and more danger might follow. Deeply involved with the family, Heath's desire to protect Sadie goes far beyond friendship. The danger keeps them close together, and their feelings grow until being apart is the last thing on their minds.
My Review:
Cimarron Ranch is the pride and joy of Chance Boden. His blood, sweat and tears have been poured over the land for years and he hopes that one day he can't get all of his kids to see the beauty in it all. One day while driving cattle, the unexpected happens. An avalanche covers him in rock and dirt, with a compound fracture to his leg. Chances for him to keep the leg are slim, but with one of his cowhands, Heath Kincaid there may be a chance it can be save. The doctor sends Chance out of town, but before he leaves he asks one thing of Heath. Read his will to his children, so they know how he stands.
After reading Chance's will, Heath notices things have changed in the Boden household. Sadie, Cole, and Justin must comply with their father's will or lose the ranch to their despised distant relative. When Heath discovers that the avalanche was purposely done, the three sibling's try to work together to figure out who has something against the Bodens.
Heath must help the sibling's in their venture to find the assailant. All while Heath battles his feelings for Sadie.
No Way Up is book one in the Cimarron Legacy. This book was an amazing read, from one of my all time favorite authors, Mary Connealy. I love, love, LOVED reading this book and I can't wait to see what happens next in this series.
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
