Review: The Berenstain Bears and the Christmas Angel by:Mike Berenstain

The Berenstain Bears and the Christmas Angel (Living Lights)
About the Book:
In the newest Berenstain Bears Living Lights book, The Berenstain Bears and the Christmas Angel, the cubs discover there’s more to angels than wings and flowing white robes!

It is almost Christmas and there is finally snow in Bear Country. Brother, Sister, and Honey Bear are ready for some winter fun! But when they can’t decide what kind of snow bear to build, Honey Bear’s snow angel gives the older cubs a great idea. Soon the cubs have built a Christmas snow angel. Later, as they warm up with some hot cocoa, Mama and Papa give the cubs a little lesson about some very special angels and the work they do for God.

My Review:
I don't know many children that aren't excited when the weatherman forecasts snow. All children anxiously await that beautiful blanket of white. I have to admit if I'm prepared I can enjoy it right along with them. The Berenstain Bears are no exception, they love that cold, wet, white blanket, as well. The Berenstain Bears and the Christmas Angel is all about the first real snow of the season.

We find Brother and Sister and Honey outside with the fresh, fallen snow. They are all in a conundrum because they want to build a snow bear but they want it to be new and different. So as Honey makes her first snow angel, Brother and Sister decide that's exactly what they will make. After they come in for some warming up, their parents tell them all about angels and what their special jobs are.

I love this story because it explains what an angel is and how special they are to us and to God.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
