Review: Brunhilda's Backwards Day by:Shawna J. C. Tenney
About the Book:
This is a silly story about how sometimes being nice can be more rewarding than being mean. Brunhilda may decide to keep some of her warts in the end, but she’s a changed witch. Waking up on the wrong side of the bed just doesn’t work for her anymore.
A picture book for 3 to 6 year olds, this book teaches kids that being kind and nice to people actually makes you feel better than playing tricks and being mean. A good lesson for young children, teachers and parents will enjoy the message while kids will be enthralled with the bright, colorful illustrations and the silly, warty witch.
My Review:
As anyone that lives on the planet can tell you, from time to time we can and will wake up to greet each day where everything seems to be mixed up and feel rather backwards. Well in Brunhilda's Backwards Day, we get to witness firsthand a day like that in Brunhilda witch's life.
She is accustomed to make everyone around her and the life they seem to enjoy, well just miserable. she feels very accomplished in doing this on a regular basis. If you have ever seen a child lose a scoop of ice cream from a cone, Brunhilda was probably at fault.
Well her cat must of got just a little tired of all the fun Brunhilda was having and made it a point for this witch to change her ways. One day Brunhilda woke up a different person and the things that she enjoyed before weren't the same anymore.
A delightful children's read aloud book that not only comes alive through the words that the author pens but also through her beautiful and colorful illustrations. This book was a masterpiece! Can't wait to see more from this author!
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
