Review: Tozer for the Christian Leader: A 365-Day Devotional by:Ron Eggert
About the Book:
"I fear that we shall never see another Tozer. Men like him are not college-bred but Spirit-taught."
—Rev. Leonard Ravenhill
Great leaders are rare. Those who pray fervently, worship fully, and walk in integrity—who see God big and depend on Him humbly—are those trained in the way of power.
Such was the case for A. W. Tozer, and Tozer for the Christian Leader shows you what made him exceptional. These reflections, grouped monthly by theme—like prayer, the personal life, and worship—are ideal for any Christian leader.
Absorb Tozer’s wisdom. Be marked by his conviction. Let his keen eye for spiritual things cut through pretense and show you truth. Read Tozer for the Christian Leader and discover the beating heart of uncommonly great and godly leadership.
My Review:
Tozer is a favorite in our family. We really enjoy his synopsis and sermons and his overall thoughts and quotes. It can get right down to the heart of it most of the time. Tozer was for all accounts and purposes a very great man to follow and study. Tozer had this way of pointing out the simple things that were wrong and he would cause you to look inside and reflect on what he said and apply it to your life.
I have a special person that I plan on giving this devotional to. This individual absolutely loves Tozer but I really think that the fact that this is a devotional of his work is the best gift I can give them. He speaks to us and he can speak to the leader in us, as well. The devo is long enough for the entire year. Passages are short and sweet, usually only lasting a page long.
Based entirely on Scripture each entry is an entry addressing leaders in the church community. A great gift this holiday season for a minister or seminary student.
**Disclosure**This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author.
