Master Book Moms Top 5 for 2014

My Top 5 Favorite Products for the Year:

Becoming a Master Books Mom has been such an awesome opportunity for me and my children. We enjoy some really great products and we get to add something new to our homeschool day, which is always of great value. Master Books is an awesome publisher to be affiliated with because most if not all of their products are creation based products. Taken from their website: Master Books® is the world’s largest publisher of creation-based material for all ages including apologetics, homeschool resources, reference titles, and quality children’s literature. It is one of New Leaf Publishing Group's three imprints.

I was asked as part of the Master Books Moms Review Team to give you all a quick Top 5 of my favorites that I have reviewed this year, so here is a compilation of a few of my favorites for this year--2014. If you go to the review links below you will learn more about each book including price as well as purchase links.

Discover the important connection between water and fossils-how this helped to form, alter, and reveal them.

Science unfolds as activities bring alive the natural curiosity of children. This new title covers not only the weather and varying climates around the world, but explores the results of weather events in the past. The great Flood was a cataclysmic event that left behind fossils, and these impressions reveal much about what happened during and after this historical event. Form a connection between this biblical history and the world experienced outside your door as natural processes like rain and wind are shown to be forces at work in the environment! The Flood of Noah: Legends & Lore of Survival
Cultural accounts of a wicked world, destroyed by a global flood, have been relegated to myth - even the history of Noah's ark revealed in the Bible. Yet, in every corner of the world, you find these legends of a vastly destructive, worldwide flood event. Similarities include: mankind is almost wiped out, some animals are chosen for survival, a craft or other escape mechanism is provided for survival, and water covers everything. Now discover:

*What are these legends, and what intriguing clues do they contain?

*Why do they reveal about their possible common origin?

*Even more great details with this interactive experience of flaps, mini-books, foldouts, and more!

For over a hundred years, scientists have been dismissing the Bible as a reliable source of information - despite the civilizations discovered and history revealed that support the history God's Word contains.

The New Astronomy Book
Includes the best ways to observe the heavens, along with the most up-to-date astronomical data From theory to practice, here is a solid presentation of the universe from a young-earth, creationist perspective

Shows Biblical glimpses of the heavens, as well as through Christian history!

Includes a 24-inch, full-color pull-out poster!

If you watch the stars at night, you'll see how they change. Many ancient pagan cultures taught that the changing stars caused the seasons to change. Unlike these pagan teachings, the Book of Job gives credit to God for both changing stars and seasons (Job 38:31-33). When Job looked at Orion, he saw about what we see today, even though he may have lived as much as 4,000 years ago. This gives us a direct connection to him, and more importantly to the God who made both the stars and us. See review here.

Bugs Big & Small: God Made Them All
Within these vivid, full-color pages children will discover God's purpose for creating insects, and the corruption caused by sin. They will also see the world's largest insects, insects designed with camouflage, the most beautiful insects, the weirdest insects, and more! With their alluring beauty, incredible design features, and limitless variety, bugs are a living testament to an all-wise, wonderful Creator. What you will see page-after-page are these creatures doing just what they were designed to do, and doing it well. God is amazing!

Why did God create such pesky insects?

In what way are bugs signposts to God's brilliant creativity?
